Reverse Seared NY Strip Steak

This will become your favorite way to cook a NY strip steak. Seasoned with Cookinpellets.com Grilled Steak Seasoning then smoked on your pellet grill using Cookinpellets.com Longhorn Blend, this steak is flavorful and delicious! Smoke On!

Reverse Seared NY Strip Steak
Instructions
Prep
  1. Remove the steaks from the packaging.
  2. Pat dry with a paper towel and place them in a bag.
  3. Pour W Sauce and a little soy sauce over the steaks to create a marinade.
  4. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
  5. Remove the steaks from the marinade.
  6. Pat dry and let the steaks come to room temp.
  7. Season steaks with Cookinpellets.com Grilled Steak Seasoning.
  8. Fill the hopper of your pellet grill with Cookinpellets.com Longhorn Blend Pellets and preheat.
Cook
  1. Place the steaks on your pellet grill and smoke them until they reach an internal temp of 120 degrees.
  2. Remove the steaks from the grill and crank the grill temp up to 500 degrees.
  3. Place a cast iron skillet on the grill.
  4. Melt the butter.
  5. Add thyme, rosemary, and garlic to the cast iron skillet.
  6. Place the steaks in the skillet and sear them.
  7. Spoon butter over the steaks until they reach an internal temp of 135 degrees.
Post Cook
  1. After cooking, allow the steaks to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  2. Enjoy! Smoke On!
