Reverse Seared NY Strip Steak
This will become your favorite way to cook a NY strip steak. Seasoned with Cookinpellets.com Grilled Steak Seasoning then smoked on your pellet grill using Cookinpellets.com Longhorn Blend, this steak is flavorful and delicious! Smoke On!

Instructions
Prep
- Remove the steaks from the packaging.
- Pat dry with a paper towel and place them in a bag.
- Pour W Sauce and a little soy sauce over the steaks to create a marinade.
- Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Remove the steaks from the marinade.
- Pat dry and let the steaks come to room temp.
- Season steaks with Cookinpellets.com Grilled Steak Seasoning.
- Fill the hopper of your pellet grill with Cookinpellets.com Longhorn Blend Pellets and preheat.
Cook
- Place the steaks on your pellet grill and smoke them until they reach an internal temp of 120 degrees.
- Remove the steaks from the grill and crank the grill temp up to 500 degrees.
- Place a cast iron skillet on the grill.
- Melt the butter.
- Add thyme, rosemary, and garlic to the cast iron skillet.
- Place the steaks in the skillet and sear them.
- Spoon butter over the steaks until they reach an internal temp of 135 degrees.
Post Cook
- After cooking, allow the steaks to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Enjoy! Smoke On!
