Great pellet, but beware
I love the clean smoke flavor of these pellets. Also, knowing there's no fillers is great. My only issue is they arrived with many broken pellets and quite a bit of dust, just make sure you sift these before loading them.

Tended to pile up in the hopper
So, I am relatively new to pellet smokers, having just got a mid sized Traeger at Costco recently. Still, I have run through a variety of pellets and these were not too bad. They never jammed in the auger or anything like that, but they tended to support a pretty deep "V" shape in the hopper so that if the hopper was about half full, it would run out of pellets as it would just create a hole in the middle where the auger picked them out. I didn't have that problem with the Traeger branded pellets, which tended to tumble into the auger more readily. These also seemed to create more ash that collected in the smoker. That wasn't a problem, but I felt I had to clean it more frequently than I did for the Traeger branded pellets. I'll run some more brands through and update my review if I find some more differences.

Great pellets, not always well packed
Love these pellets. No artificial flavoring, just made from the wood they say they're made from. They seem to produce a good bit of ash but not at all a big deal.I'd give them 5 stars except that maybe every 3rd bag arrives damaged and leaking pellets. Sometimes they come in nice reinforced boxes but other times it looks like cardboard was just wrapped around the bag and taped up. Better packing consistency would help here.

Most realistic so far
I've only used them once but they had the most realistic smoke flavor of any pellets I've tried. I don't expect the same as a real stick burner but other pellets have been totally disappointing. These seem to be pretty good and I will continue to try them

Spreetail delivered the wrong product
I've used Cookin Pellets hickory pellets before and have been very happy with them.They give great consistent heat, and a nice medium smoke.Pulled pork, ribs, and brisket all came out great with them.Unfortunately this time the seller, Spreetail delivered the Cookin Pellets apple mash pellets instead. I didn't notice it was the wrong flavor until I needed to fill up the pellet hopper on my grill in order to make dinner and I didn't have any other pellets to use instead, so I had to use the Apple Mash. They were good but obviously much milder smoke flavor than I wanted.

Very Good Flavor, But....
I have gone through 3 bags of these pellets so far and I agree with most of the reviews: You can't beat the flavor. It gives the best hickory flavor of anything I have put in my pellet smoker so far. I am sure that has to do with the fact that these are 100% hickory, not a blend or some other hardwood with flavor added. However as others have pointed out there is considerably more ash when using these pellets. And my smoker does struggle more to get up to 500° for searing with these pellets. I have not paid any attention to how fast I go through them, and don't really care. If I want the best smoke flavor, I will use these. After all that's why I have a smoker! If I need/want higher heat and sacrifice smoke flavor, I will use my other blend. I am sure Amazon will sell me both!

Good smoke flavor, burns pretty clean. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive out there.

100% hickory
Maybe it's just me, but I'm having trouble detecting a difference between any of the wood varieties that I have, so appreciating 100% hickory over the blended versions is something that I'm missing. Having said that, I'm sure the product is great.
