Prep
- Microwave 2 sticks of butter for 30 seconds in a microwave-safe bowl.
- After microwaving the butter, mix with 4 tablespoons of your favorite Montreal steak seasoning.
- Tie prime rib with butcher’s twine to hold its shape.
- Apply butter mixture all over the prime rib.
- Fill the hopper of your pellet grill with Cookinpellets.com Perfect Mix Pellets.
- Preheat to 275 degrees.
Cook
- Place the prime rib in the smoker and cook until it reaches an internal temp of 125 degrees.
- Allow it to rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
- The total cook time is 2.5 hours.
- After resting slice the prime rib and serve immediately.
