Smoked Beer Can Chicken

Prep
  1. Remove chicken from packaging and pat dry.
  2. Remove giblets and anything else from inside the cavity of the chicken.
  3. Apply a light coating of olive oil all over the chicken.
  4. Season the chicken with the seasoning of your choice.
  5. Put your chicken on the beer can chicken holder.
  6. Tuck the wings behind the chicken.
  7. Apply rub to touch up any spots that were messed up when putting the chicken on the beer can chicken holder.
Cooking
  1. Fill the hopper on your pellet grill with Cookinpellets.com 100% Black Cherry Pellets.
  2. Set the smoker to 325º.
  3. Once the smoker is to temp, put your chicken in the smoker.
  4. Smoke your beer can chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165º F in the thickest part of the chicken breast (Approximately 1.5-2 hours).
  5. Once the chicken reaches 165º F in the thickest part of the breast, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  6. After the chicken has rested, remove the chicken from the beer can chicken holder and carve the chicken.
  7. Eat and enjoy!!!
