Pellet Grilled Onion Blossoms
  1. Preheat your pellet grill to 350 degrees
  2. Fill the hopper of your pellet grill with Apple Mash Pellets.
  3. Peel all the skin off the onions.
  4. Cut the top off the onion, so it lays flat.
  5. Use a large, sharp knife to slice down the center of the onion 3/4 of the way down; turn 90 degrees and slice again. Keep slicing each section in half until you have 8 sections. Be careful not to cut through the bottom of the onion.
  6. Spread open the layers of the onion, it should look like a flower.
  7. Place the onion on a piece of foil. Shape the foil into a bowl to hold the onion.
  8. Drizzle the onion with Dale's Steak Seasoning.
  9. Drizzle with melted butter.
  10. Season with Salt and Pepper.
  11. Close the foil bowl around the onion.
  1. Place the onions on your pellet grill for 20 minutes.
  2. After 20 minutes serve as an appetizer or with your favorite smoked meat or veggies.
