Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings

Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings are the ultimate appetizer or side dish! Onion rings are wrapped in bacon and then smoked on your pellet grill using 100% Hickory Pellets. Everyone will love these delicious onion rings! Smoke On!

Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings
  1. Preheat the pellet grill to 250 degrees.
  2. Fill the hopper of your pellet grill with your favorite pellets. I recommend 100% Hickory Pellets.
  3. Cut off the ends of the onions and remove the outer onion paper and skins.
  4. Cut to desired rounds, the thinner the crunchier.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce on rings.
  6. Wrap the onion slices with the bacon, stretching the bacon as you go.
  7. Secure the bacon with toothpicks, the bacon will shrink to fit the onion.
  8. Sprinkle the bacon-wrapped onion with your favorite all-purpose seasoning.
  1. Put a pan of onion rings into the grill for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes, then transfer the rings to the grill grates for an additional 30 minutes.
  3. Once there are about five mins left, you can top it with more BBQ sauce if you want.
  4. Let them cool and enjoy! Smoke On!
